Elmo is Found!

elmo is found!

Great news… Elmo has been found. He was located in Navan Co. Meath 30 miles away on last Saturday. A very kind gentleman found him in his farmyard late on the Friday and took him to the dog pound in Navan on Saturday morning where his chip was read and we were called.

He was in remarkably good condition leading to both the gentleman that found him and the vet in Navan to suggest that he had been taken and then abandoned when they discovered that he had been neutered. Elmo as you can see is a beautiful looking Springer Spaniel and Ed, his owner suggests that it may be worth warning people regarding theft of dogs for breeding purposes.

It’s also worth noting that were it not for a chip in his ear poor Elmo would probably never have made it home – not many of us would imagine that a lost dog would make it all the way to Navan from Kilcock. You can get your animal chipped for only €25.00 in the local Kilcock Vets (recently relocated to the centre of town). Give them a call on (01) 651 99 06 for more info.
