Argh! Is that the date… 24th? Christmas Eve?? Still so much to do – which is why it’s half seven in the morning that I am writing this… Just wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas and, of course, let you know what’s going on over Christmas in Kilcock…
Walk it Off!
The Goal Mile is tomorrow morning at 11am in the North Kildare Sports Club. It’s great fun and you’ll be giving your body a wonderful present not to mention helping to raise much needed funds for the world’s poorest people.
Panto: Little Red Riding Hood
Kilcock’s fabulous Musical and Dramatic Society are hosting their annual Pantomime – Little Red Riding Hood from the 6th to the 10th. Should be loads of fun – if you have been to a KMDS show then go! You won’t be disappointed.
Those who haven’t finished there shopping (that would be me) don’t forget to check out the variety of gifts available in our local shops – from bottles of wine to fairy garlands, beautiful tans to animal apron sets, gift hampers to hair stuff – you’re sure to find something locally. After breakfast (a nice fry up to prep myself for tomorrows onslaught) I’m doing the last of my Christmas shopping and then pick my ham from the Butchers and some mince pies from the lovely Black Forest Bakery (hopefully they have some left).
I know, I know, it will be only St. Stephen’s day and you already don’t want to look at another piece of Turkey for another 365 days… But before you give the leftovers to the cat, check out what Aisling, our Chic Chef proposes – delicious Turkey and Leek Tart. Hard to resist…
Our Kilcock wishes you all a very merry Christmas and awesome 2010!
