Easter weekend is upon us already and while I can’t make any promises about the weather I can provide some fun things to do around Kilcock for the next couple of days.

Fun Fair

In the Bawnogue a Fun Fair has set up for the weekend and will open 7pm – 10pm tonight and 4pm-10pm for Saturday and Sunday. (Not sure about Monday). There dodgems and rides and it look like it will be a bit of fun for the young and young at heart.

Easter Egg Hunt

Also the little ‘uns is a Easter Egg Hunt at the Clonfert Pet Farm. It starts at 1pm sharp on Easter Sunday and there will be loads of eggs and even a visit from the Easter Bunny. Plus all the animals will be there too for petting etc. The Clonfert Pet Farm is located in Clonfert, Maynooth, near Clonfert Maynooth Equestrian Centre) (sign posted on Clane, Kilcock road & Lady Chapel, Maynooth) For more info: contact them on 087 230 9712. Watch a Local Rugby Match!

There is a match on this Sunday from 3:00pm in the North Kildare Rugby Club, The Maws. Teams are North Kildare v Clane. Go North Kildare!!

Eat Out

As you all know we’ve go some very decent places for a spot of breakfast and lunch – namely Cafe Coca, Streetside and Rye River Cafe. And in case you haven’t heard Rye River Cafe is now open for dinner. Which is great because Kilcock needs more places to eat out after the sad closing of the Italian and Scenes Chinese.

Eating In

For those who like to chill out in their own kitchen there is a wonderful frittatta on offer by Aisling. Check out her Chorizo, Spinach and Sun blushed Tomato Frittata Topped with Goats Chees.
