From the May 27th – Sunday May 30th 2010 Dublin City Soul Festival are bringing the very best of their Rising Stars to the bars, clubs, cafes, public spaces and streets of Dublin City – and judging by the intial response of Eimear’s fans on her Rising Star’s web page she will be a popular performer during the festivities.
I often do small gigs for family and friends and regularly do spots in the college and around my area. I really enjoy this and I know that now I need to take it further. I am playing at a number of festivals this year and I am really hoping to get my music out there and really show people what I can do. Tour with Jack L has shown me that I am really ready to branch out on my own and put all my experience to good use!

More about Eimear
Eimear has lived locally for years and divides her time between studying in NUI, Maynooth and raising her 12 year old son. Despite her commitments to her studies and her son she also is director of both the NUI Maynooth Gospel Choir and the Maynooth Gospel Choir. Under her direction the University choir has raised over €40,000 for local schools and organisations. And until early May Eimear and her Maynooth Gospel Choir (a.k.a the Electric Gospel Choir) have been on national tour with Jack L. Other talents include directing musicals and pantomimes and working on communtiy projects such as a the creation of an original musical ‘Proper Preggers’ that Eimear and local Kildare young people have written and performed across Ireland.
Now all we need to do is convince her that she needs to start gigging in one our local pubs! Good luck Eimear and come and play some tunes locally soon!! Check out Eimear’s myspace for more songs and info >>
