Local Kilcock woman Sheena Byrne (or Ms Byrne as her Scoil Choca Naofa students call her by) was named as LGFA Volunteer of the Year and presented with the Lulu Carroll Award in Croke Park last night.
Sheena as been a tireless volunteer over the last 18 years with the Ladies Football within the club. On their Facebook page Kilcocks Ladies Gaelic Football Club says:
Well done to our club secretary and senior player Sheena Byrne who was deservedly awarded with the inaugural Ladies Gaelic Football‘overall volunteer of the year award’ at Croke Park last night.
Sheena was presented with the Lulu Carroll award, in honour of the late, great Lulu Carroll from Laois.
Congratulations Sheena! An amazing achievement for you – and thank you for all your efforts over the years.
